Stark raving glad
Yeah I'm kinda glad I met you
but silently regretting I came here tonight
Stark raving glad
That you graced me with your presence of mind
and your lack of faith

I'll take any little wonder
that lies in wait under the sun
If anyone.

Stark raving glad
I've been crossing burning bridges
and coming back without a scratch
Stark raving glad
You can't make me feel defeated
I've already got a bit of a knack for that.

I'll take any little wonder
that lies in wait under the sun
If anyone.

I'll sit, you speak and
I''ll sit, you speak and that's..
I'll sit, you speak and
I''ll sit, you speak and that's why

doo doo

Stark raving stark raving glad

If I could get you something that you'd like
Something that'd be so damn wrong it's be right
If I could only sell myself
All to you and nobody else
It'd be the sale of the century

If I could only get us on the plane
back where we belonged in New Orleans
If I could only sell myself
I gotta be the hardest sell
It'd be the sale of the century

I got 4 letters from you
Tellin me there was nothin that I could do
You said I mighta turned you on
but you don't wanna settle down when we can hang around

I guess I made you cry like blisters rain
Guess I made you smash that window pane
If I could only sell myself
If you buy the story you get everything else
It'd be the sale of the century
It'd be the sale of the century

This past December I lost an angel
She was born out in the snow
Her lips shone forth blueish-white sunshine
and her wings stopped and slowly froze.

Out in the middle of nowhere.

A fallen angel is a lucky one
She'll only come around now for kicks
And she refuses to pass her judgement
On the guy in front who only wants to hear the hits

Out in the middle of nowhere.

The very last time I saw her, friends
she was underneath a tree
with a negative of a friend poised down where
she used to be.

This December I'll find an angel
She'll be born out in the snow
Her lips'll shine forth blueish-white sunshine
Then she'll shake her wings, and get up to go.

Out to the middle of nowhere.

There's a picture of a band that I loved
Beside a little girl that I miss
And there's the one I never took a chance with
And missed the chance to be missed

All in my

Little box
little box
little box of failures.

Here's when we played and thought we were jangling (yeah!)
But I guess it was just the buzz
They're all taken in a town
that was just like yours is,
and I can't bring myself to go back.

All sittin in my

Little box
little box
little box of failures.

There's a picture of a band that I loved
Beside a little girl that I miss
Starin' at the bottom of a bottle
I was 17 there
At least there's still the two of us

And together we'll fill my

Little box
little box
little box of failures

This Side of Human

And the truth grows like fangs
To penetrate my tongue
rendering it still
and me helpless and numb
And of my mistakes that leave me tattered and true
there's none can compare
with blood under a harvest moon.

I've wandered the streets
and taken my time
I've held on to love,
and let it slip away blind
I've walked with the angels
and fallen like a stone
now I wander the streets
with this cape over my clothes.

Lying awake in this dark pine room
while the sunlight shines all around me
If I could escape from these four silk walls
then I'd know that I could never belong
on this side of human
you make me feel
just this side of human.
Though I never will,
I might fall
but for now I'm standing tall
just this side of human.

I've had it with that line,
bled that excuse dry
now I'm longing for truth
a little honesty pie
and if I come home tonight
with no blood on my breath
then I'll sleep like a baby
at his mother's breast.

Lying awake in this dark pine room
while the sunlight shines all around me
If I could escape from these four silk walls
then I'll know that I could never belong
on this side of human
you make me feel
just this side of human.
Though I never will,
I might fall
but for now I'm standing tall
just this side of human.

Would you follow me
From the front to the back seat
I don't wanna leave
It's still early seventeen

Is it really me
Are we sharing the same things
Are you blind to me
Or just choosing not to see

Chorus:
I never wanted
Any more than that
We're in the next room
they can hear us in the sack
if walls could talk we'd talk right back
takin them just a little while
to try to shut us up
and make us smile

We were blasted free
from the place that we were in
what we wanna be
is the last one standing
Come on with me
to the place we were from
It's so sad to see
like clothes we won't admit we wore

Chorus
